the great commission

Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: "God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age."

just had to share this. we were actually learning about this at rock harbor on sunday night. todd proctor was speaking and he shared about sharing the gospel. and in all actuality, that's our goal here on this earth. it's to tell everyone of the good news! i hear so many stories of people smearing and bashing christians but it's because they don't have the real story! and it's up to us to set it right! give the world the real story of Jesus Christ! that He came to save, not to condemn. He came to seek and save the lost. He came out of love. and He offers a free invitation to everyone who is willing to listen! He died on the cross for us to wipe us clean and make us new. free from all our pain, our hurt, our past, our shame, our sin. this is the God that we love. and that's all we have to do! just let people know that. all we have to do is share the gospel. the love of God. and don't be afraid. Jesus is with us all the way. the Holy Spirit is living in us so be encouraged and speak from the heart. speak out of love. and people will see Jesus Christ through us! this is our mission! whether it be at home, at school, at work, or another city, state, or country. we have to share Jesus with everyone. we can't keep this joy just to ourselves! let's show the world what Jesus is all about!
